They lie. Its 50 and then you add 25 for data 30 for min another 25 for text…its really stupid.
They’re talking about the price for the phone (not the contract). While it used to be $199 for the 3GS, it’s not $50. The only issue here is this locks that person into a 2-year contract with that phone (and no upgrades until just before the end of that two year period). The problem with that being that the 5th iPhone (iPhone 5?) will come out this summer and anyone who gets the 3GS for $50 will be two phones behind the current release. Apps (games and otherwise) tend to target the newer hardware more than the older hardware, meaning the older the phone you have, the slower things run.
So, if they’re bragging that they’re getting a two year old phone now for a cheaper price than it launched with, know that everyone else will be bragging when they cannot do OS updates or find usable apps. Technology!

I’m sorry, but I absolutely agree with this move. The show went a completely different direction than the books, and the books are fucking stellar. Why the fuck would you change something thats still ongoing? I’m with Kirkman, how would you feel if someone grabbed your baby, threw it on the ground, then kicked it until it almost died? That’s what AMC has done. Who are these racist hillbillies? Who is this mexican gang? Who are the black folks? What the fuck is this hatch? There are plenty of characters in the books without adding new shitty ones. Just make your actors read the series and say “action”. Stop trying to fix what isn’t broken.
From everything I’ve read about the firings, they’re not being fired for deviation from the storyline of the comic, but being fired in attempt to not have a staff of writers. Considering Darabont and Kirkman wrote many of the episodes themselves (or re-wrote in cases of most episodes), I think they believe that they can get by just using freelancers and tweak those scripts here and there to their liking. Know that with Darabont/Kirkman heavy handing this, all changes from the comics structure were approved from the top down and they’re likely really liking the changes.
